Local Coffeeshops

We love a good steaming brew on a crisp Montana morning. If we’re not brewing it ourselves on our patio, these are our favorite spots to grab a coffee in town.

Uptown Hearth

Columbia Falls, MT

If you’re into specialty coffee, Uptown Hearth is the best in the Valley. You can find many incredible single origin coffees that have been roasted to bring out their regional flavors. The Kitchwa Tembo Kenya is our personal favorite.

This gem located in the nucleus of Columbia Falls (Nucleus is the main street in Columbia Falls), is a relatively new addition, and a welcome one at that.

Besides coffee, Uptown is also a bakery and cafe with a focused menu to make your mouth water.

For those working road warriors, Uptown also has an attached coworking space with reservable desks, offices, and conference rooms.

Whitefish, Columbia Falls, and Kalispell

You can’t go wrong with MCT. They serve up reliable quality brews roasted locally at their roastery outside of Whitefish. If you’re into a chocolate coffee experience, try the Jitterbug.

The roastery also does tours on Tuesdays if you want to see where the magic happens.

Whether you’re in Whitefish, Columbia Falls, or Kalispell you can be sure to find good coffee, tasty treats, and Montana souvenirs at MCT.

Kalispell, MT

If you like a good dose of ‘murica with your coffee, Black Rifle is the right spot for you.

Great lounging space to work or hang out with friends, and you’re likely to see some “best boys” support dogs hanging out with their people.

A great bonus for Black Rifle is if you’re looking for delicious tacos or burritos, Mother Chorizo Taco Truck is always parked outside.

Whitefish, MT

Our favorite coffee shop in Whitefish. It’s got some good vibes, coffee, and pastries. It can be a good place to bring a laptop and work but probably isn’t the best for conference calls on the public wifi.

Pro tip here is to get the breakfast biscuits made hot and fresh. They are incredible and worth the trip in.
